Mahiti Trust has pioneered the formation of over 555+ Village-Level Institutions (VLIs) across Gujarat’s Bhal region, enabling rural communities to take charge of their development. These institutions play a transformative role in addressing local needs across financial inclusion, sustainable agriculture, health, education, and social justice. Our approach focuses on community-led governance, women’s empowerment, and sustainable resource management. Through ongoing capacity-building, training, and partnerships with government and financial systems, we equip communities to lead with knowledge, confidence, and resilience.
